Spott vs Recruiterflow: We fact-checked the fact-check
Lost & Found: We Finally Found Where Our 7-Year-Old UI Went. Spott Is Still Using It To Review Us In 2026!
Spott’s comparison page — updated as of July 2026 — deliberately misinterprets Recruiterflow by using outdated product screenshots of Recruiterflow. Not slightly outdated. Seven years old!
That isn’t a product comparison. It’s an archaeological dig.
It’s like showing someone a photograph of a construction site and calling it a review of the finished building.
Old screenshots are one thing. But once we checked the claims behind them, the bigger problem became clear: some are outdated, some omit important context, and some are directly contradicted by what can be verified today.
We would’ve ignored it, but our customers, prospects, and well-wishers keep flagging it. So here we are.
CONTENTS
First, How We’re Fact-Checking the “Fact-Check”
We’re not going to stamp “FALSE” on everything we disagree with. We’ll use four simple verdicts:
- FALSE — contradicted by the current product or documentation.
- OUTDATED — may once have reflected the product, but doesn’t today.
- OPINION — positioning or interpretation rather than an objectively verifiable product claim.
Claim 01: The Jobs Page on Recruiterflow
Spott’s claim on how the jobs page looks:

What it really looks like on Recruiterflow today:
The screenshot above is an antique from our digital closet. The product has been fundamentally redesigned, and the interface today is unrecognizable.
A page that says “Reviewed July 2026” is using images from 2019–2020. That’s not a review. That’s a filing cabinet.
CLAIM VERDICT: FALSE.

Claim 02: Candidate Page on Recruiterflow
What Spott claims the candidate page looks like:
What it actually looks like on Recruiterflow:
Same pattern. Years-old screenshot presented as current. The candidate experience in Recruiterflow today bears no resemblance to what Spott is showing.
CLAIM VERDICT: FALSE.

Claim 03: Sequences on Recruiterflow
What Spott claims “communication” looks like:
What multichannel sequences actually look like on Recruiterflow:
Multichannel sequences on Recruiterflow come with access to email, SMS, calls, and professional networking platforms — even tasks — natively in the AIRA plan, the same multichannel sequencing approach we’ve built our outreach engine around.
More about multichannel sequences on Recruiterflow here: The most powerful sequencing engine out there, period
CLAIM VERDICT: FALSE.
Claim 04: Outreach Capabilities on Recruiterflow
Spott’s claim: “Recruiterflow supports outreach via email or text messaging but doesn’t include LinkedIn messages or InMails in its campaigns. To bridge this gap, Recruiterflow has added an integration with SourceWhale.”
The truth: Recruiterflow runs multichannel sequences natively — email, SMS, calls, tasks, and professional networking platforms. Not patched through a third-party tool. Built into the platform.

CLAIM VERDICT: OUTDATED.
Recruiterflow integrates with hundreds of tools. Each of those is there for customers who want flexibility, not to overcome a lack of capability.

Claim 05: Recruiterflow’s Positioning
Claim: Recruiterflow is a traditional ops platform.
This is the framing Spott wants you to walk away with. Let’s break it down with a real story and outcomes instead of a feature list.
Andiamo, a boutique search firm with over two decades in operation, moved to Recruiterflow from Bullhorn and Jobdiva. Within one year, Andiamo 4X’d revenue and cut time-to-fill by 76%.
“Recruiterflow’s AI functionality is absolutely impressive! AIRA Agents help us manage the data better, save time without losing important information, and help us make more informed decisions.” — Daniel McAdams, President, Andiamo
Then there’s PAC Solutions, who doubled placements with Recruiterflow. Mercury Hampton, on the other hand, was able to recover £25,000 using AIRA Job Change Alerts.
“Mercury Hampton was scaling and we needed a system that could scale with us. Recruiterflow is always level pegging with where we are, bringing new things.” — Matthew Warburton, Mercury Hampton
CLAIM VERDICT: OPINION.
Spott claims that AI is part of their plan, but a simple look at the pricing plan shows it’s an upgrade trap. The core plan offers AI search/matching but doesn’t offer automations or sequences — that requires an upgrade. The core plan doesn’t offer support at all; dedicated support is only available under the unpriced plan. Recruiterflow offers dedicated support across plans.
Claim 06: Recruiterflow Offers “Basic” Reporting
Recruiterflow BI is part of both the platform and AIRA plan as standard. The reporting depth covers goals and leaderboards that give a live view of company, team, and individual progress.
So, Should You Choose Spott or Recruiterflow?
Don’t choose Recruiterflow because we wrote this page. And don’t choose Spott because they wrote theirs.
Put both products in front of your team. Bring the workflows that actually matter to your business.
- Run a search.
- Build an automation.
- Create a sequence.
- Open a candidate record.
- Look at the reporting.
Ask what’s included in the plan you’re buying. Ask which AI capabilities are live. Ask both companies to demonstrate their claims.
Software comparisons become dramatically easier when everyone has to open the product.
The Verdict
Spott says its comparison was reviewed in July 2026. Yet parts of the Recruiterflow product shown there are outdated.
A documented capability is presented as nonexistent. Other claims leave out material context. And some of Spott’s characterization of Recruiterflow does not sit comfortably alongside Spott’s own content elsewhere.
That’s enough for us to disagree with the comparison. It isn’t enough for us to speculate about why it was written that way. So we won’t.
We’ll stick to what can be demonstrated. Every Recruiterflow capability cited on this page can be backed by current documentation, current product evidence, or a live demonstration.
