// YOUR MISSION AT PICUS
You will provide transactional legal support on Picus’ investments and divestitures across a wide range of industries and with a focus on the US and Latin America in close coordination with our investment team. This will include conducting due diligence, reviewing, negotiating and drafting a wide range of agreements and working with external legal counsel on the same.
You will be part of our legal team and act as the dedicated person for any US and other common law related legal matters.
You will contribute to building the legal department and framework at Picus, including developing best practices and standardizing investment documents and other agreements.
You will provide legal support to our investment team with respect to portfolio companies and other investments, including reorganizations, financings and exits.
You will provide legal advice to other internal stakeholders such as the Finance and HR teams on a variety of legal, regulatory and compliance matters, as well as on-going operational matters, including employment issues and other matters.
You will support Picus' portfolio companies as a sparring partner for any legal related aspects.
You will develop and build relationships with external law firms and other professional advisors.
While you will work globally, across all jurisdictions in which Picus is active, there will be a significant focus on the United States and other common law jurisdictions as well as on Latin America.

You have strong communication and organizational skills and spend superior attention to detail.
You are eager to learn about new things.
You are a team player with an exceptional work ethic and have the ability to balance a number of transactions at the same time and prioritize matters in order to ensure that Picus closes transactions quickly and within the expected time frame.
You are a qualified Juris Doctor and have at least 2 years of legal experience at a top law firm (venture capital or private equity team), a venture capital fund or a large startup or scaleup (corporate department).
You have experience in negotiating and drafting venture capital and/or private equity investment documents and managing technology transactions.
You have strong written and oral communication skills to, among other things, negotiate transactions and keep relevant stakeholders informed.
You are fluent in English both in writing and speaking, German is a plus.
