The role:

The People Coordinator will support the growth of the Bogotá office by ensuring that current and employees are supported in all aspects of their role at Marfeel. This role will include all aspects related to People management including hiring, development, people operations and general coordination of the local office.

This is what you will do:

  • You will be the point of contact for all People matters and act as a liaison between the BCN headquarters and Bogotá

  • You will support the day-to-day operation of the Bogotá office and ensure compliance with all legal and practical aspects related to local employees

  • You will collaborate with HQ on strategic matters and ensure that the local operations are in line with the strategic plan

  • You will act as the local company representative and take part in any associated administrative processes as well as ensuring the overall success of the local operations

  • You will be responsible for managing and controlling the People and Office budget 

  • You will report regularly to HQ on key metrics relevant to the local office

  • You will play a key role in managing every aspect of our expanding operations including anticipating the future needs of the office, office space and layout, negotiating with vendors, etc.

  • You will help us to grow the Bogotá team, through involvement in the hiring process and all associated tasks (interviews, onboarding, relationship with external vendors, etc) 

  • You will act as a Marfeel ambassador and help to extend the company culture to the local office

  • You will work to promote the Marfeel brand locally, through participation in relevant tech and business events

  • You will support with internal development and learning needs and coordinate these with BCN

  • You will be active regarding local salary and benefits benchmarking and provide input to the People team to guide decision-making

  • You will be focused on looking after employee well-being and retention, helping to position Marfeel as a great place to work

  • Support any employee requests regarding employee issues and manage these internally or with external providers where necessary

  • Provide suggestions or proposals to the team for improvements to the Bogotá office and processes and lead initiatives to make these happen

This is you:

  • You have 5 - 8 years in a generalist HR role, ideally with experience in a start-up or scale-up context, covering aspects including hiring, learning & development, compensation & benefits and business partnering and office coordination

  • You have worked within the IT or SaaS industry, and you are tech savvy that loves learning about new solutions and technologies

  • Your communication skills set you apart from others and you are comfortable communicating with many different profiles

  • You have a general knowledge about Colombian employment law (contracts, collective agreements, working hours, etc)

  • You have excellent attention to detail and are data-driven

  • You are fluent in Spanish and have a very high level of English
