OLR Project Delivery Managers have deep practitioner skills across the range of the delivery and project management spectrum. They want to share knowledge and collaborate with others to bridge across disciplines, not remain entrenched in one. They display an enthusiastic attitude and are demonstrably passionate about digital delivery. They possess a strong ‘can do’ attitude and are embedded in cross-functional teams who are committed to delivering better products and services for all our clients. Using a mixture of frameworks and techniques to deliver projects and products, utilizing Scrum to organize teams and sprints through to Continuous Delivery and Test Driven Development (TDD) within structured client environments OLR deliver within APMP, PRINCE2 and MSP frameworks.

At OLR Project Delivery Manager’s role is to enable the team for delivery success going above and beyond rather than “just good enough”. Enabling the team to solve its own problems and come up with its own amazing insights and products within the client expectations and budget. An OLR project delivery manager is an active member of the delivery team and deep in the detail.

Project Delivery Managers focus on quality expert delivery and are fully client-facing. They harness the metrics coming from the team, both to help the team improve its own throughput, and to inform clients and others about how the teams are delivering. Using rigour and process as well as collaboration to manage and lead sensible timescales meeting the client expectations and maintaining our 100% referenceable client list.


  • Responsibility for one or two client projects/deliveries
  • Leading requirements, deliverables and solution within the project scope and team dynamics
  • Interaction with customers including business analysts, developers, QA and fellow Project Managers
  • Working within a scrum methodology and a Continuous Delivery Framework
  • Creating, setting and adhering to governance models both internal and client specific
  • Ensuring that we deliver consistently high quality software and solutions
  • Continuously improving our processes together with the teams
  • Running scrum ceremonies with the team and demonstrating its principles
  • Contributing or owning bids on new projects from investigation through to closure
  • Management of stakeholders and the projects governance
  • Ability to stay strong and “do the right thing” to meet our “Quality Delivered” value

About You

Essential skills

  • Strong leadership skills
  • An agile mindset and a real passion for delivering business value to our clients
  • Validated scrum based IT project delivery experience
  • Effective communication with both business and developers
  • Ability to “get stuff done”, and execute on actions
  • Ability to plan a project including resourcing, risk and dependency planning, financial modelling
  • Understanding and experience of risk management
  • A passion to deliver high quality solutions on time and within budget
  • Experience with agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence


  • Consulting experience
  • Experience of working with multiple integrations
  • Understanding of CD/CI and the technical concepts in releases and development
  • Demonstrate an understanding of BDD principles
  • Experience with running Retail and Commerce projects
  • Budgeting and financial experience
  • A recognized Project Management or ITIL qualification
