Recruiter

The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Essential duties include: 

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.
  • Establishes, cultivates, and maintains ongoing relationships with hiring managers and operational leaders to fully understand organizational and departmental needs and tailor recruitment solutions accordingly.
  • Designs and leads long-term sourcing and networking initiatives and actively works to increase the effectiveness of creative ways to attract talent.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for various roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take the initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 


What You'll Do

  • Design and lead long-term sourcing and networking initiatives and actively work to increase the effectiveness of creative ways to attract talent.
  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria (candidate profiles).
  • Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews; oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Actively tracks all candidates on the applicant tracking system.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Extends job offers and assists with team member onboarding.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and company policies.
  • Partners with the internal marketing team on building PEC as an employer brand.
  • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
