ANA Marketing Unpaid Intern - Remote


Our client, ANA Business Marketing, Northern California, is the world's premier marketing community devoted exclusively to advancing the B2B marketing profession. They recently merged with BMA – NorCal and gearing up to launch their integrated branded social media sites and campaigns. They view internships as an incredibly valuable part of their culture. The intern for this position will receive terrific access to top Bay Area marketing leaders.


Unpaid Marketing Intern

During this 6-month unpaid internship (2-3 hours per week), the Marketing Intern will support a variety of marketing content-oriented projects for ANA Business Marketing, NorCal. These would include website content, event promo communications (email + social + web copy) to drive participation in our virtual community events and other projects.


What We’re Looking For

Applicants should be creative collaborators who want to support the advancement and impact of ANA’s work with leading Bay Area clients and marketers. They should have specific skills and experiences, including:

  • Received or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, journalism, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of core marketing principles through project work or other experiences.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills to support blog & social media copywriting. You will be requested to provide examples of work published or submit a writing sample
  • Expert knowledge of social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, blogs, etc., including content generation experience.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and demand generation
  • Graphic design capabilities are preferred
  • WordPress experience preferred


What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to social media marketing planning and daily execution
  • Write release-ready copy for marketing programs, including social media, blog posts, and website content
  • Develop simple graphics content to support marketing campaigns and plans
  • Measure the results of marketing programs
  • Update CRM to support demand generation activities and ensure data quality
  • Additional work to be assigned based on the Intern’s capabilities and business needs.
  • Work under the close supervision of Kris Mower – VP Content
