The successful candidate will join our growing team of locals and expatriates and work with multiple clients, primarily in serving the needs of private sector business leaders in Rwanda. Education and language:
Master’s degree in finance or a related field. Certifications in accounting or financial planning are highly desirable (preferred). Fluency and advanced speaking and writing in the English language are required. The ideal candidate will also have advanced Kinyarwanda, French, or other East African languages.
The ideal candidate will be full-time and based in Kigali, Rwanda, but this specialized role (on a project and hourly basis) may be performed from a remote office anywhere in the world. It will be necessary to collaborate with partners and associates based in different locations in the region and around the globe and sometimes across language barriers. Limited travel within the region and outside the continent may be required for business development and project delivery.
All Karisimbi Partners employees serve at rates below what they could achieve elsewhere, but we find participating in the social mission of this company offers rewards and meaning beyond typical compensation. What our clients pay us for a Strategic Business Plan is a fraction of what is paid in Western countries, and our compensation structure must accommodate this. That said, we seek to ensure compensation is in line with market rates for similar work and positions. Hourly or salary rates are available, given the type of commitment made (project vs. full-time). There is potential for additional compensation depending on the candidate’s circumstances. Employees share in company profits.
