Leasing Agent

About the Opportunity

Our client is a boutique real estate brokerage specializing in new development planning, sales, rentals, and marketing across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. The Leasing Agent must greet, qualify, and show prospective tenants the property and maintain excellent customer relations. The Leasing Agent will also prepare lease packages, track inventory, and generate traffic and comp reports while meeting monthly and quarterly goals. These goals include but are not limited to effectively maximizing occupancy levels, profit levels, and property values. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process application documents and all lease agreements for current and prospective residents
  • Conduct presentations of the building and show apartments to prospective residents
  • Assist prospective residents with the application process
  • Conduct lease signing and ensure accuracy of all lease documents
  • Track inventory 
  • Track traffic sources and making necessary adjustments to ensure best use of advertising dollars
  • Analyze leasing efforts based on the market, competition, seasonal volume, traffic & conversion rates and agent productivity and make effective recommendations to upper management
  • Conduct regular inspections of vacant units and common areas
  • Interface with residents to address issues and concerns
  • Work collaboratively with other departments
  • Prepare monthly comp reports and regularly shop new and existing buildings

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-4 years of leasing experience
  • Onsite leasing/sales experience
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing practices 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • On-Site, Yardi, Building Link, Nestio a plus
  • Must be able to work Saturdays or at least one weekend day

Compensation

$50,000 - $70,000 base plus commissions
