Financial Analysts serve as advisors to administrative and financial personnel, using analytical and evaluative methods to assess the efficiency, effectiveness, and financial reporting requirements of the organization. Responsibilities include executing modifications to systems, programs, and operations, as well as establishing criteria to investigate and analyze a variety of complex issues. Additionally, financial analysts assess and improve the productivity and effectiveness of DLA financial operations, including those at DLA HQ and field activities, while maintaining financial interrelationships with other agencies such as the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
