Role Summary

Our client is seeking an Android developer who can build new features and help scale the product. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment, we want to hear from you. You would be joining a tightly knit, dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional team delivering a world-class product.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Android apps written in Java and Android Studio.
• Communicate with the product team to design new features and provide updates on development progress

Education / Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in developing native apps in a production setting using both Kotlin and Java
• Understanding of memory management as it pertains to runtime on a mobile device
• Understanding of /and ideally experience developing Android SDK for integration into 3rd party apps
• Understanding of API integration within an Android mobile app
• Understanding of Android material design concepts; experience with transitions and animations

Required Skills

• Android development with both Kotlin and Java
• Organization and multitasking skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
