We are hiring an Import Manager to lead the Customs Brokerage Department.
Location: Monterey Park, CA
Role: Import Manager
Salary: $75,000+, dependent on experience
Job type: Full-time, in-person
Responsibilities:
- Manages workflow and develops procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policy and US Customs regulations
- Plans, directs, trains and supervises the operational activities of the customs business, including preparing, processing and verifying documents for entry and duty payment
- Maintains district permit from CBP, recordkeeping, and filing employee reports
- Provide and monitor customer service and problem resolution
- Coordinate and supervise all traffic functions relating to freight, ensuring timely delivery and compliance
- Verify accuracy of all documents including entered value, country of origin, terms of sales, arrival notices, orders, receipts and POD’s
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have a Customs Brokers License
- Must have solid up to date knowledge of CBP regulations and procedures, classification of goods and knowledge of PGA’s, hazardous materials and live animals
- Must have thorough knowledge of all entry types including formal, informal, warehouse entry, withdrawal, carnets, TIB, IT, T&E, etc
- Must have previous leadership or management experience
