As our suite of gaming and music products grow, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Audio Engineer to join our team. In this role you will play a major part in building out our tools and pipelines to enable rich in-game audio across all Splash music and gaming products.

The role:

  • Responsible for driving the development of world-class audio production in-app and in-game, including but not limited to audio editing, post-production, and managing audio production pipeline.
  • Manage audio and ensure exceptional audio quality through planning to in-app and in-game delivery.
  • Build an audio experience that compliments and melds seamlessly with gameplay.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of our in-app audio player and ensure that studio sessions/audio editing will work seamlessly with our tech to produce high-quality tracks.
  • Coordinate QA of new audio content before it is launched in-app.
  • Improve the way we create audio long-term by identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Manage the storage, organization, and version control of audio files, both on physical drives and in the cloud.
  • Work with a dynamic team of sound designers, software engineers and machine learning experts to advance our mission: to empower a new generation of music producers, artists and fans. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in game audio development.
  • Experience in creating outstanding sound assets for games.
  • Solid understanding of technical audio theory and audio engineering.
  • Fluency in game audio implementation systems.
  • Experience with major digital audio workstations, with high proficiency of at least one.
  • An expert with an advanced understanding of audio production, including savvy editing, organization, and project management skills.
  • Impressive attention to detail when it comes to audio quality.
  • Proactive nature, ability to creatively solve problems you face and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to the wider Splash team.
