Power Design Engineer - High Volts Power Systems Designs

Responsibilities:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
 
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As an electrical engineer for Undersea Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing Undersea Communication systems.

Feedback / Control systems experience
Power System architecture and grounding
Isolated Switching Converters
Transmission Line Effects in power systems
EMI test and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC / IDE / VDE, etc.)
Magnetics Design and High-Speed Design experience is desirable.
Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components.
The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting
Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components
Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics
Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
Team player committed to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
