Key Objectives:
- Overall responsible for the strategic development, management and coordination the company's global product area data connectivity
- Partial P&L responsibility for the product area data connectivity (in close alignment with Head of Business Segment, who owns full P+L responsibility)
- As a member of the Senior Management Team within Business Segment Connect, the position holder shares responsibility for the business of the group, its strategic development, operational performance and the accomplishment of the goals defined by the business segment heads
- Responsible to moderate, coordinate and implement the global strategy for the product area (within the segment), involving the global functions and the regional operational units
- Ensuring the corporate governance the group by co-developing global guidelines in the area of responsibility in compliance with applicable law and the group code of conduct
- Commitment to drive the company culture which aligns with the company values and supports the business strategy
Principal Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing the product area business strategies to achieve the business segment objectives in strong cooperation with the other product area and the global functions within business segment Connect
- Provide strategic advice to the Head of Business Segment on the market and the future of the product area (within the business segment)
- Prepare and implement comprehensive technology roadmaps, market, branch and segment specific customer portfolios and penetration plans
- Cross-functional and integrated coordination of all business activities in the global role and area of responsibility.Taking immediate responsibility for technology definition, customer portfolio, engineering, sales, quality, program management
- Supporting in the definition of functional global strategies / roadmaps, synchronization of these functional strategies and roadmaps
- Owning the product area global budget (part of business segment) and the global profit & loss (in alignment with Head of BS Connect). Monitoring their observance, implementation of corrective measures in case of deviation and intervention with the respective function / region.
- Ensure corporate policies and legal requirements are communicated from the top down in the company and followed at all times
- Communicate and maintain trusting relationships with all stakeholders
- Continuously develop leaders that align with and support the company culture
- Active driver of the global transformation of the group, that includes both business and people leading activities in order to further support the development and growth of the respective segment
- Support the process of the global site planning strategy in strong cooperation with global operations and the other segment leads
- Defining standards, monitoring and driving their implementation and observance. Achievement of agreements with regards to capacity planning for functional staff and ensure appropriate staffing of projects
- Focus on global financial stability, working capital reduction, and ensure on time and high quality of reporting
- Disciplinary management of all global direct reporting employees
- Global representation of the group in the best interest by being the interface / representative for all stakeholders (associates, customers, suppliers, media, government, public institutions)
Requirements:
- Masters/MBA/PhD degree in business administration or engineering
- Executive management experience and a robust track record in global automotive/mobility or related fields
- Broad knowledge of functional processes and product range (techniques, systems, manufacturing process)
- Experience in developing strategic and business plans
- Good command of both English and Korean
