The ADF Service Consultant is a role that assists our Consultants in the development and support of production application software. This includes assisting with troubleshooting issues, customizing existing software code, writing new software code, testing and debugging modifications, and ensuring appropriate documentation is generated for software code wherever necessary for OLR.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting our Service/Senior Service Consultants with communication with clients by providing support as needed
  • Understanding and knowledge of the ITIL framework (understand the difference between an Alert, Incident, Problem, Service Request, and Change)
  • Ensure Product vendor and OLR development standards are met in all coding practices
  • Assist in maintaining the OLR software development environment
  • Document or maintain general retail, Products, and/or OLR specific practices and standards
  • Assist in defining application enhancements and modifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ADF Business Components
  • Develop and implement the ADF View Controller components, including Tasks Flows, Beans and JSF pages
  • Supervise tasks performed by other team members to ensure a cohesive, qualitative approach
  • Play a key role in backlog Refinement and estimating
  • Review existing solution build – recommend and perform performance tuning and debugging
  • Understand the difference between a bug fix and an enhancement 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Fluency in English
  • Professional approach when dealing with internal and external customers, including clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and willingness to provide exceptional customer service
  • High degree of initiative, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a positive attitude under stressful circumstances
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with proprietary information
  • Strong ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change in a complex global organization
  • Retail domain knowledge is essential, with knowledge of Oracle Retail (RMS) desirable
  • Must have experience in: Oracle ADF, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, Weblogic, LINUX, UNIX, JDeveloper, Java, J2EE, Gerrit and Jira
  • Strong experience in performance tuning of ADF also preferable

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Previous consulting experience preferred
