About MedKitDoc & our vision for Remote Care
We imagine a world, in which people do not need to worry about access to healthcare, especially when it is most needed. We want to make receiving medical care as easy and fast as ordering an Uber.
MedKitDoc was founded in 2020 with this vision, after we realised in our family that “Telemedicine 1.0” (providing just a video call) is a first good step - but unfortunately not enough to care for chronic diseases. Meanwhile, we are a team of about 20 highly motivated employees in the areas of tech, medical, business, and regulatory. We are backed by renowned investors such as Picus Capital, who believe in our vision and actively support us in our growth.
On our MedKitDoc platform, we connect patients with specialists and enable revolutionary remote care (“hardware-enabled remote care”) by integrating certified medical devices. Through our platform, real-time health data, such as temperature or lung sounds, can be transmitted to the doctor, allowing chronic diseases to be addressed without a physical visit to the doctor’s office. The MedKitDoc app maps the entire “patient journey” - from finding the right doctor, to making appointments, to documenting doctor’s letters and prescriptions.
In the first step, we are focusing primarily on care facilities to provide hardware-enabled remote care to as many patients with chronic diseases as possible as quickly as possible and to make a significant contribution to improving healthcare.
