Job Description of a Scrum Master:

Our market leading client is looking to secure the services of a Scrum Master to join their development team on a permanent basis.

The scrum Master role will take responsibility for the efficient delivery of a series of projects using Agile project methodology. They be responsible for developing the scrum approach within teams and in educating the business stakeholders in scrum.

They will also be required to work collaboratively with the business to ensure a clear pipeline of products and to manage the prioritisation and delivery of these products to meet the business needs.

Key responsibilities of a Scrum Master will include:

  • To construct, coach and manage a multi skilled team to deliver against a backlog of products as agreed with the Product Owner
  • To measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and to take corrective action as necessary to ensure a productive throughput from the team
  • Work with the team to identify impediments and then work with the business to remove them
  • Help the team assess their Scrum Maturity and guide to achieve higher levels of maturity
  • To set the standards for agile delivery from their team
  • To run the daily stand ups and to take any follow up actions from the stand ups
  • Provide training to the team on Agile development and agree on approach for the business

Skills & experience of a Scrum Master:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Scrum Master
  • Knowledge of Agile approaches - Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban and Lean.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile Techniques - Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Testing, Pairing, Agile Games Etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent collaboration and mentoring skills
  • 2nd level Scrum Master
