Ad Operations Manager

A digital publishing house that owns and operates a collection of highly successful websites is seeking an Ad Operations Manager to join the Revenue Operations team and to work closely with Engineering and Product groups. This position will help to maximize revenue opportunities and provide account management for the company's inventory across all its sites. 

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily revenue management and execution of AdOps tasks, as well as managing ongoing programmatic partnerships. The position consists of daily contact with demand partners, in parallel to managing the technical aspect of the ad serving and media optimization. The candidate is expected to continuously grow revenue based on the company's KPI’s and targets, and to provide monetization insights, real-time information and results to the company management team. 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ad stack optimization across all programmatic products - display, video and native - to hit the company’s quarterly aggressive revenue targets.
  • Create and update revenue dashboards focused on delivering actionable insights with clear and concise findings​.
  • Monitor and maintain ad quality across our portfolio of sites.
  • Maintain Ads.txt files and additional compliance and transparency initiatives.
  • Work closely with product and engineering on testing and implementing advertising products, as well as troubleshooting and QAing together with the demand partners.
  • Actively participate in vetting new programmatic business/partnership opportunities.
  • Serve as the point of contact for advertiser/demand relationships.
  • Assist Sales team with research discovery and data pulls, used to strengthen company sales efforts.
  • Stay up to date on all industry news including updates to Prebid.org, regulatory updates (GDPR, CCPA..etc), Identity solutions, policy changes (ads and content) and key browser changes. 

 

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in AdOps roles or similar (Data Analytics, Account Management, Programmatic Business Development).
  • Mandatory – English language proficiency at a very high level.
  • Mandatory – Advanced Excel knowledge (or BI tools) and Analytical skills.
  • Profound service orientation, sales abilities and initiative.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business partners.
  • Experience with Google Ad Manager (DFP) or other Ad Servers.
  • Understanding of programmatic ecosystems and platforms such as Google, AppNexus, Rubicon, Index Exchange etc.
  • Strong knowledge of web debugging with tools such as Charles and Chrome Developer Tools.
  • Ability to address problems with a data-driven approach, resourcefulness and attention to details.
  • A go-getter attitude with the ability to both work independently and collaborate as appropriate.
  • Advantage - Experience working with Product and Engineering teams. Advantage - Experience working with Sales teams.
