Seeking highly motivated and exceptionally talented eCommerce Strategy Consultants with 5+ years digital marketing consulting experience and/or experience as a CMO or VP of Marketing. Must be able to demonstrate past success with eCommerce clients. Excellent communication, the ability to work independently, and be able to work closely with clients are a must. It is imperative that you are a self-starter with high integrity, a great attitude, and confidence in your marketing strategy abilities.  

The eCommerce Strategy Consultant will be able to help grow, nurture, advise and guide our clients on strategy, implementation, best practices and utilizing data-driven marketing knowledge to make educated decisions. Candidates will bring significant experience in marketing analytics, advertising technologies, and excellent client management skills. Knowledge in all aspects of digital marketing and social media channels is essential (FB, Google, Analytics, Display, Video, Search, Email, Mobile, Web, etc). The ideal candidate will work directly with clients to understand their needs and guide digital marketing strategies with impactful ROI. You will use megatrends such as technology, globalization, and demographics to help businesses transform and evolve quickly to seize the opportunities and help mitigate the risks of digital eCommerce and advertising.


  • Collaborate to bring deep marketing strategy and execution in order to orchestrate, accelerate and unblock a portfolio of initiatives for clients
    • (i.e. Assessing marketing maturity and growth opportunities, re-defining consumer segmentation and activation plans, designing/implementing test-and-learn experiments to measure/validate ROI across digital channels, and the ability to transfer capabilities to client marketing organizations and their executing partners.)
  • Ensure high quality of work; relevance of the strategic and operational recommendations
  • Guide key marketing partners (i.e. agencies, tech partners) by providing content expertise to redefine operating models based on client-specific needs 
  • Inform client's in-house teams on data-driven marketing execution, when necessary
  • Help assess overall costs associated with the implementation of marketing strategies
  • Serve as a strategic advisor for the business, cultivating relationships with internal constituents while effectively using research, data, and marketing expertise to demonstrate knowledge of the business
  • Proactively demonstrate subject-matter expertise, providing new ideas, a point of view, and consultation regarding marketing effectiveness and impact
  • Plan, manage and execute an effective content marketing strategy that positions the firm’s unique point of view on relevant business and industry issues
  • Demonstrate strong storytelling skills (written and verbal)
  • Track marketing program effectiveness and ROI, generate insights, and offer actionable ideas to increase impact
  • Foster relationships with fellow marketing colleagues, external partners, and vendors
  • Utilize the full suite of available marketing technology to drive decision quality, marketing, and sales effectiveness
  • Understand line-of-business strategies and how they intersect with industry issues and go-to-market plans
  • Confidently present complex ideas and provide alternative solutions to HBC Executive stakeholders
  • Contribute to internal knowledge/perspectives to develop new techniques and/or capture new ideas 
  • Support the business development of data-driven marketing opportunities


  • 4-6+ years of professional digital marketing management experience (VP, CMO)
  • Proven track record with previous digital marketing clients
  • Expertise in the following social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest), Paid Social Media Management, Email Marketing, SEO, SEM, SMS Marketing and an eye for content curation
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and impactful digital marketing metrics + Facebook paid advertising and associated analytics
  • Experience with direct client relationship responsibilities (regular reporting, collaborative strategic planning, and performance management)
  • Excellent phone skills that show confidence and ability to lead consulting calls and establish political capital with clients
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, ability to work independently but also ask questions
  • Exhibit enthusiasm, passion, and commitment
