Job Role Summary:
We are looking for a Energy Engineer to help be part of a growing team in Building Services and Sustainability division that has just launched to design energy efficient and high performance buildings. The candidate should have experience both in the industry and with research institutions or academia. The candidate should be able to bridge between experimental and novel systems/research and traditional industry needs. This requires solid understanding of building science, energy concepts to be able to work
Responsibilities/ Job Role:
Work on projects related to Energy Modeling, Climate Engineering, Comfort analysis, Daylight Analysis, CFD Analysis and Parametric analysis.
Collaborate, support and manage sustainable strategies and energy optimization services as part of e.construct services to architects and developers.
Perform value engineering through calculation of potential energy savings opportunities for projects at the planning stages and for policy development (spreadsheet-based calculations).
Coordinate closely with the other disciplines at e.construct (such as the structural and facade experts)
Provide innovative sustainability and energy efficiency solutions and strong engineering/ analysis capabilities.
Ability to educate potential clients and industry on the intersection of sustainability and building systems.
Ability to design renewable energy systems in context of the built environment.
Creating reports and presentations highlighting the practical implications of the architect’s designs, energy efficiency and other sustainability initiatives
Provide strategic internal education to support and advance the firm’s evolution as a global engineering company that embraces sustainability in all practice areas.
Designing the layout of energy distribution, water pipes and ventilation systems and identifying relevant materials
Bachelor or Master in Building Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar degrees.
4 - 8 years of experience in the building services/MEP industry.
Energy Auditing experience preferred.
Ability to understand third party certification programs such as LEED, Pearl Rating system, BREEAM, etc
