Sales Membership Manager

Grand Cayman, Full time

Primary Objective: Responsible for managing the sales activities of Fitness & spa memberships with a focus on retention and servicing of current customers. The position works collaboratively with other departments and team members to enhance overall sales force effectiveness and leads to a high level of customer satisfaction and employee engagement. Actively solicits, prospects and generates prospective member leads. Plans and executes member recruitment and retention programs/initiatives and finalizes and secures Gym and Spa memberships. Maintains membership databases and markets the resort and membership to the local community and potential members accordingly.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the sole discretion of the Spa Manager.

  • Develops and implements marketing campaigns in accordance with Corporate, resort and membership guidelines.
  • Established short and long-term goals to achieve club membership objectives, sales, and revenues
  • Coordinates various integrated communication and marketing activities to attract new members and events that engage and retain existing members.
  • Produces sales proposals and contracts for approval of General Manager and Spa Manager 
  • Executes a wide variety of details that involve direct mail, email broadcast campaigns, public relations, member/customer communications, media advertisements and other marketing plans and initiatives.
  • Updates and maintains membership database and develops monthly membership reports as needed.
  • Assist in managing and updating on-line social media accounts for marketing purposes.
  • Assist with member events including registration and set-up.
  • Corresponds daily with members via phone and email, answering questions; explaining privileges and obligations of membership; announcing upcoming events; and provides other membership related information.
  • Attends local community networking events to promote membership and solicit leads and sales.
  • Execute the membership sales plan by utilizing sales data and metrics to drive revenue results and review performance on a regular basis.
  • Assist with content design and strategic layout of targeted, automated email communications.
  • Oversee membership customer service efforts, addressing complaints and resolving concerns.
  • Provide weekly revenue, business development and pipeline reporting.

Experience:

  • Minimum two years related experience and/or training. 


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Publisher, etc. and familiarity with social media. Working knowledge of Google mail and documents/sites is a plus.
