Title: Accountant On-site position

Pay: $90,000-$100,000 DOE
Summary:
- Manage a broad range of financial and analytical accounting duties, including general ledger accounting entries.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, sales and cash receipt audits, operating expenses, and annual audit support.
- Provide financial reporting to senior management with quality accounting information to drive business performance.
- Lead the sales audit function including sales receipt audit, AR aging, chargebacks, and bank reconciliation within QuickBooks.
- Direct, manage, and support cost accounting process and procedures within the manufacturing and product line areas.
Duties:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records.
- Determine the costs and efficiency of company purchasing activities.
- Review costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases.
- Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
- Collect and compile purchasing data for analysis.
- Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
- Review and document inventory and material purchases.
- Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Prepare documents and interpret financial information regarding cost improvements.
- Maintain company accounting procedures and processes.
- Present cost estimates and budgets for new purchases.
- Accurate record and update existing and new purchased materials and goods.
- Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs.
- Verify, record and process day to day transactions for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
- Reconcile credit cards statements, sales taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Organize records by filing electronic and paper-based documents.
- Assist in defining accounting, bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Balance and review general ledger resulting in a trial balance.
- Prepare financial reports and Ad hoc research projects.
- Assist in human resource functions such as processing payroll, monitoring employee benefits, and maintaining employee files.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of extensive QuickBooks experience.
- 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Manufacturing, and or Product accounting experience is required.
- Microsoft Office Excel, graphs charts and pivot tables as well as PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business with an emphasis in accounting, or related field
