About the Job:
The Account Director is a top-level client contact who leads and manages all client activity. S/he ensures his/her specific clients receive appropriate and professional counsel and services resulting in account stability and brand growth. S/he is responsible for the management and professional growth of all direct reports. The 3 core management pillars for this role are financial, strategic, and relationship-based. This role also sits on the agency’s leadership team and participates in steering the agency in the areas of culture, growth, and work.
  • Serves as core contact on specific clients and manages the onboarding and servicing of new clients. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Earn and keep each clients’ respect and confidence as a trusted advisor bringing value to their business through a strong commitment to success, consistent performance, and the ability to develop a wide range of ideas and solutions
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of, and be conversant in, each client's business – their key issues, competitive situation, and industry trends
  • Demonstrate confidence, authority, and leadership as the day-to-day voice of the agency team
  • Effectively balance the dual expectations of the clients and the agency
  • Maintain all of the financials related to the client including new scopes of work, monthly updates of projections, and monthly invoice generation
  • Provide solid strategic leadership
  • Display current working knowledge of digital strategy and implementation
  • ​Work with Project Managers to ensure the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects to assure earnings, growth, and profit across all mediums and tactics
  • Develop client communication plans and budget recommendations, in coordination with key discipline leaders in the agency
  • Assign duties, goals, and mentor certain members of the account management team
  • Develop annual agency Client Development Plans
  • Set and achieve successful levels of growth for clients
  • Ensure relationships among account management and other departments are harmonious and productive
  • Work to communicate agency vision and profile in the Atlanta market
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
  • Extensive and varied agency/industry experience
  • Self-directed 'born' leader
  • ​Thrives in a structured process but understands the need for flexibility
  • Thorough and lengthy experience on both B2B and ​consumer brands in leadership positions
  • Strong written and oral communication aptitude
  • Multidisciplinary experience: with a focus on digital strategy and development 
  • Significant media planning competency
  • ​Enjoys​ a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
