Payment Analytics within the Global Payments organization is seeking to grow our pool of talented Analytics Analysts to work with partners on various business development opportunities. You will will partner across teams to deliver strategic insights and analysis that guide business strategy, customer and product experience, and measure business progress for key initiatives.
This position will be based in Austin, Texas or San Jose, California. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, process-oriented, works effectively with multi-functional teams, in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills. Success also requires an analytic demeanor, teamwork skills, comprehensive problem solving, independent thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
Responsibilities:
Use data to drive decisions from discovery, gathering the data, conducting the analysis, and presenting the key insights to stakeholders (ROI, Deal’s profitability, Strategic partnerships, new products KPI’s)
Develops and automates reports, iteratively build and prototype dashboards for Payments organization and compliance network.
Develop and present data-driven recommendations via dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses.
Write advanced programs in SQL, Python to extract, manage, manipulate large datasets across multiple data sources.
Collaborates with cross functional partners including Payments, Finance, Product and Operations to capture and stitch the data related to user payment activity.
Surface analytical insights: proactively investigate root causes of aberrant data and identify opportunities for optimization.
Consistently follows standard work processes and documentation requirements. Recommends improvement to work processes to increase efficiency while maintaining quality of work.
Experience with Agile and leverages sprint planning and other tools to effectively capture requirements, prioritization and backlogs.
Mentor and coach pool of junior Analysts on the team.
Qualifications:
Experience working with Payments, Card networks, Finance, FinTech industry data.
7+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, Financial/Banking experience or a similar role; and 2+ years of people leadership experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience with SQL and in reporting tools like Tableau or MicroStrategy.
Analytical abilities to help identify critical events and outliers from data sets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to bring innovative analyses to the business.
Experience working in Agile environment.
Master or Bachelors in Statistics, Computer Science, Finance or Engineering Fields with relevant industry experience.
