 About the Role:
 
 We are currently seeking a Product Manager for eBay's Search’s backend team (Indexing, Data acquisition, Core search engine). The PM will work with the search engineering team as well as with other partners, helping to deliver a redesigned search architecture in the long term along with new search capabilities in the near term.
 
 The goal of our team is to continuously deliver world-class search solutions for eBay search experience over web and mobile devices, as well as to 3rd party partners.
 
 The right candidate will have strong technical expertise and a proven track record in managing scalable backend products and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners. The candidate will identify customer requirements and translate them to technical requirements, working with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver the right solutions.
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 Define and prioritize the scenarios and usecases that will best address customer need and requirements 
 
 Define the developer experience that will deliver best adoption 
 
 Prioritize the investments made to address the need between functional requirements, non-functional requirements and defects resolution 
 
 Drive to resolve every obstacle that prevents the emerging product by addressing customer's problems – architecturally, resources-wise, or management attention 
 
 Manage the impact of customers' growth and use cases on the cost of the product and work with customers to produce optimized usage of search to keep search budget within growth goals 
 
 Responsible for the preparation of all the material that is needed for successful adoption of the product – product documentation, tutorials, release notes, reference notes/docs/code, etc. 
 
 Understand the competitive landscape – what are other companies doing to address the same challenges? What are the industry standards? What are the general market expectations? What are common technologies that are available? 
 
 
 Who you are: 
 
 Experience in large organizations including managing dependencies across business units
 
 3 years' minimum experience as a technical product manager of software platform technologies 
 
 Proven track record in managing complex systems or products and working with highly technical customers 
 
 Excellent written and oral communication skills in English 
 
 .Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
