IT & Cyber Security RECRUITER DoD SkillBridge Internship Location: Remote (or current location) Requirements : Must be an active duty U.S. Military Member who is able to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program. Apply directly through: www.vets2pm.com/skillbridge REFERENCE: "IT/Cyber Recruiter" in the field wanting to know if you are applying for a'specific internship slot' The mission of the IT & Cyber Security Recruiter is to recruit Veterans looking to start or continue their career in IT & Cyber security. The IT/Cyber Recruiter will be responsible for the full-cycle guidance and recruitment of transitioning service members and military Veterans into Apex Systems. This position will require that the IT/Cyber Recruiter work collaboratively with other Veteran recruiters to accomplish a common goal: To create job opportunities for military veterans. Successful talent sourcing will involve the utilization of various sources, including LinkedIn, Indeed, and other networking sites. Currently, the Apex Systems Redeployment Initiative has partnered with multiple organizations to assist in the training and employment of military veterans. The VTS will maintain current partnerships and seek additional paterships throughout his/her tenure. Responsibilities Reaches out to Veterans 3-6 months ahead of their terminal leave date. Builds and maintains long-term relationship (proactive recruiting to supplement Apex branches more reactive model). Mentors and coaches transitioning service members on the benefits of joining Apex. Can communicate company and Veteran benefits to further their career in the IT field. Network with SFL-TAP (Soldiers for Life Transition Assistance Program) across the country and Europe to get in front of transitioning soldiers and/or to obtain resumes. (There is an untapped market of SM's in Europe looking to transition stateside.) Follows up with Veteran recruits on a continuous basis to maintain recruits focus and motivation throughout the hiring/training process; conducts After Action Reports from Veterans who 've participated in APEX's recruitment program. Serves as an Apex ambassador to Veteran partners/programs. Tasked with speaking to all Military graduates, with the goal of helping them transition into an Apex position immediately after graduation, or into the Apex boot camp program if more credentials are needed. Yields weekly status reports on all recruiting activity to Senior Recruiter. Requirements Can work independently or as a member of a team, while working to achieve a common goal. Organized professional with strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Must have a basic understanding of resources available to assist in the training, education, and transition of military Veterans (Post-911 / Vet-Tec). Able to identify, coordinate, and network with transitioning program POC's across all branches of the Armed Forces. Basic understanding of their branches Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) and can develop an outreach program to target those SM's transitioning within 180 days of ETS. Ability to learn and clearly communicate the various IT career paths within Cyber Security and Apex Systems.
