Overview In this Internship you will be able to apply your Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) in Emergency Management while continuing to learn more skills and acquiring a greater expertise in this field. You will experience On-the-Job training on how Emergency Management works within the State of California. In this position you will learn: How to administer, supervise, coordinate or assist with City-Wide Emergency Management programs, projects, and services How to ensure program compliance with pertinent federal, state, local, and city-driven priorities, mandates, objectives, laws, guidelines, and regulations How to perform a variety of technical, administrative, and programmatic work in support of assigned programs. How to be responsible for developing and carrying the City's comprehensive disaster and emergency preparedness (with administrative guidance and direction from the Fire Chief.) How to manage emergency services planning and development, resources identification, interagency response coordination, and public education. **Interested candidates will receive a full description of all duties, responsibilities, and more.
