Return to this SkillBridge internship posting and click 'Apply' Job Description A Project Manager, or PM, is responsible for leading a team of professionals in completing projects by a set deadline to support Dominguez Design-Build (DDB) business goals. Their duties include: Establishing an initial budget for different projects as well as weekly monitoring of cost expenditures to prevent overruns. Developing, monitoring and adjusting project schedules to ensure timely completion and meet deadlines. Communicating and supporting personnel on the job site to ensure they have the resources required to meet project milestones. Being the point of contact between architect, owner, DDB and key subcontractor's. Communicating and updating status of projects to DDB leadership to keep the project aligned with business goals. Overview: Will be responsible for management of projects that have a defined scope, defined start and finish. Will support personnel in the field to ensure they have the resources required to safely and efficiently complete the project. What you will learn: Will receive OJT on the duties required to be a construction project manager. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, management or the construction field. Some knowledge of construction, would be a benefit. Knowledge or experience in Federal Contracting. Our optimal candidate would be a military member transitioning out of the Civil Engineer Corps.
