DoD SkillBridge Title: Proposal Writer Location: Remote (or Northern Virginia) DoD SkillBridge Host: Vets2PM Host Company: Prescient Technologies Requirement: Must be active-duty U.S. Military Service Member who qualifies for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program. Prescient is primarily a language services company, so Military Linguists (i.e., Navy CTI) would be encouraged to apply. People who have had a lot of writing and briefing such as Intelligence or Operations would be a good fit. What you will learn/do: You will be assisting on writing 4-6 proposals and RFI responses monthly. You will learn proposal writing, proposal responses, pricing, and business development. Proposal Writer Job Summary: Research, write, lay out, and produce a variety of proposal documentation including proposals, pricing volumes, requests for information, and quotes. Duties and Responsibilities: Convey complex information and concepts in an appropriate fashion to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge Collect and organize information and author and edit draft documents or portions of documents in support of Prescient's BD/Capture/Proposal team(s) as directed Perform assigned tasks associated with BD and Capture such as Requests for Information, data calls, teaming deliberations, etc. Help track and manage required suspense dates for proposal related deliverables Create, manage, and maintain key reports, databases, and deliverables Research, analyze, and cite reference materials from print and online sources Proofread, edit, and revise text; provide copy editing and production support Develop schedules, outlines, and templates for various types of proposal and project documentation Create, edit, and finalize technical, managerial, and related content for written proposals Interview subject matter expert and participants in proposal development meetings to create and edit new proposal content Conceptualize graphics, figures, tables, and other presentation techniques to optimize impact of information provided Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Google Docs development and maintenance Familiarity with the following online tools: DelTek GovWin IQ, System for Award Management (SAM), GSA E-library, Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams Capability: Excellent writing skills, high level of motivation Ability to work remotely without constant supervision Able to work well individually as well as collaboratively in a team environment Ability to manage more than one proposal effort simultaneously, in a fast-moving environment Ability to develop and incorporate figures and graphics with written content Ability to plan and prioritize; effective time management Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Desired Experience: 2+ years ' technical writing experience Completion of an industry-recognized Federal proposal writing or proposal management course of instruction is a plus Bachelor's degree in Education, IT, Communication, or related field preferred Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage complex workload and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills (written/verbal) Vast English language knowledge Attention to detail in completing work tasks Excellent organizational skills Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Vets2PM will Provide: Guidance, mentorship, and Career Services (Resume, Interview Skills, LinkedIn Optimization)
