DoD SkillBridge Internship: Energy Manager SkillBridge Location: Merritt Island, FL (Kennedy Space Center) SkillBridge Provider: Vets2PM Host Company: PSP Requirement: Must be active-duty U.S. Military Service Member who qualifies for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program. Return to this posting and click 'Apply' Overview: Perform a variety of tasks, evaluations, audits and engineering analyses required as the BOSS Energy Manager. The Energy Manager shall be responsible for the implementation of a robust energy and water conservation program in support of KSC's Federal Energy and Water Conservation and Renewable Energy generation goals. The Energy Manager shall be familiar with Federal guidelines and recommendations for Energy and Water Conservation including goals provided in the latest Executive Orders for Federal Facilities. Conduct Energy Audits to assess system integrity, energy use, water use and submit projects to reduce energy usage and promote water conservation. Report monthly into the Automated Utility Database Reporting & Information System (AUDRIS) energy and water consumption and production including electricity, natural gas, facility fuel oil, mobility fuel oil, propane, chilled and hot water, British Thermal Unit (BTU), electrical demand and potable water. Maintain and review quarterly each facility's square footage and goal status within AUDRIS. Upload the Florida Power and Light (FPL) Power Billing Report into AUDRIS monthly. Review energy and water meter readings, update AUDRIS and analyze energy and water usage data for anomalies and work with internal and external utility departments to resolve metering problems. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related scientific field and/or 5+ years of job-related experience or equivalent. Possess the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation.
