Return to this posting and click 'Apply' Job Description What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: Building Automation Entry Level: Under the direction of your supervisor, you will conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing of HVAC control systems (including detailed troubleshooting). You will be responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, onsite customer interaction. You will also be responsible for completing required project and service documentation. Military experience as an E4 or above/03 or above (candidates with 6+ years of experience will receive preference). Desired military career fields include, but not limited to: Nuclear Propulsion and Engineering, Avionics, METNAV, Radar, SATCOM, CE (HVAC/Electrical & Mechanical Career Fields) and other Electronic career paths. Fire Entry Level: This entry-level position assists with commercial fire alarm system installation and commissioning, ensuring that all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. The right candidate will work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity. This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and Lead Technician. Security Entry Level: This entry-level position assists with commercial security systems installation and commissioning, ensuring that all systems and components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. The right candidate will work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity. This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and the Lead Technician. Responsibilities: For Building Automation: · Diagnose and repair routine electronic control system malfunctions. · Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings. · Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site. · Meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems. · Keep customers informed of the nature of service provided, outstanding issues, and recommended system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs. · Promote the sale of add-on work. · Manage assigned work to meet professional execution, time, and customer satisfaction standards. · Report problems or changes to management immediately. · May provide training to customers on electronic control systems operations. · Deliver manuals and documentation to customers for training. Support the mechanical staff on non-complex, non-critical equipment. · Compile job documentation, such as certificates of completion, customer training forms, training certificates, and punch lists. For Fire/Life Safety: · Assist with the commissioning of new fire alarm systems on construction sites. · Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress. · Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement. · Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs. · Identify code and non-conformance issues. · Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader. · Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material. · Submit accurate time and expense logs. · Work overtime when needed. · Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. For Security: · Assist with the commissioning of new security systems on customer sites. · Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress. · Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement. · Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs. · Identify code and non-conformance issues. · Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader. · Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material. · Submit accurate time and expense logs. · Work overtime when needed. Qualifications (Building Automation/Fire/Security): This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption. · High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred · Experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment/Fire/Security Systems; 1+ years preferred · Ability to read and understand design and construction documents/ differentiate types/colors of wire · Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet · Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers · Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 12 months (For Fire/Security) · Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill · Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift · equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions.
