I have the pleasure of working with a leading Financial Services OEMS software provider who due to expansion and promotion are looking for a Head of Fixed Income Technology to lead a team of highly skilled Java Fixed Income Technologists building and maintaining their bleeding edge EMS/OMS SaaS platform. You will be involved with hands on development as well as guiding and mentoring the team to continuously build out new functions and maintain existing functionality keeping up with industry demands while nurturing your internal relationships with Product, Sales and Support.

Job Highlights:

• Hand-on design and development (up to 50%)
• Provide oversight and architectural development of core functionality and capabilities such as workflows, order book/quoting systems, connectivity(FIX) and smart order routing
• Consistently evaluating systems and best practice to optimise software development, testing and release practices
• Lead global development teams of Fixed Income Trading Technologists and nurture their talent to build and maintain a best in class solution

Skills & Experience:

• Experience building trading solutions – OMS, EMS, eTrading, Electronic Trading Platforms
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products (Credit, Bonds, Mortgages) and markets structures, pricing, and post-trade
• Experience of Trading Systems Interfaces and connectivity (FIX Connectivity, Direct Market Access, DMA, Low Latency, Matching Engines)
• Understanding of regulatory requirements involved in trading Fixed Income
• Software Development Methodologies – Agile, Scrum, DevOps
• Risk & Control frameworks – mitigating any risk associated with software development
• Technology – Java, JavaScript, SQL, GWT, Maven, Multithreading
