Location: New York or Montreal

Salary: up to $130,000

My client is currently looking to hire an application support specialist with experience working within a buyside environment ideally supporting front office applications similar to an OMS, EMS or PMS. This role will give you exposure to various sides of the business, with you being the first point of contact for client queries as well as getting involved in new releases and test plans so must have great ability to communicate with various stakeholders. There will be scope for you to work closely with implementation teams as post implementation support.

As an Applications Support Analyst your duties will be:

• To communicate with the users, establish needs and ensure issues are effectively and efficiently resolved
• Manage and lead assigned projects that will improve potential efficiency
• Work with the development team to support and enhance the in house technology
• Liaise with third part vendors to resolve issues and enhance productivity to the application
• Experience around managing support rota’s

To be considered for this position you will need the following skills and experience

• Experience supporting Fintech applications Ideally OMS / EMS / PMS
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills over a wide range of technologies
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• A solid background of supporting or connecting FIX Protocol
• A good understanding of networking including TCP/IP
• SQL and database understanding
