We are seeking a transitioning service member to join our team as a Data Cabler (this position offers many GROWTH opportunities and can convert to a permanent position).
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
We are looking for a Data Cabler who has commercial/big box retail store experience and is willing to travel for weeks at a time to complete projects.
He or she must be someone who can travel from site to site and help, inspect, train, and lead other techs.
There are times when it is slower that he or she will have to be able to run the sites.
Most of the jobs are not local so must be okay to drive a distance to get to the work site, and spend weeks at a time in a hotel.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
1. Must have a good fiber background, with running terminating, splicing, and ring-cutting fiber
2. Must be willing to go on the road for weeks at a time for various jobs
3. A knowledge of how to run various Data lines such as Cat5 and Cat 6 cables, be able to terminate them and test them.
4. Must be able to drive and operate a lift.
5. Must have basic tools such as a Fiber splicer, screw drives, crimp tools, and anything else you would need to be able to attach, punch down, and run cables (if you have a tester is a plus)
6. Have reliable transportation
7. Ability to work on your feet for up to 8 hours in a day
8. Must be willing to be on the road for weeks at a time
9. Must be professional, please dress appropriately, and no company logo attire.
10. Must be able to troubleshoot issues and bring issues to the lead tech or the PM
