We are seeking a transitioning service member to join our team as a Maintenance Technician. (this position offers many opportunities for GROWTH and can convert to a permanent position paying $35 to $40 per hour)

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our innovative, fast-growing company. The main role is to support day-to-day operations and to lead the responsibility for maintaining the physical assets of the equipment within the property. 

DAY-TO-DAY:

• Troubleshoot all mechanical and electrical faults on equipment
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians, mechanical and electrical, to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment, properly maintain and improve the longevity and performance of assets, and execute the needs of the company as required
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems 
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems
• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
• Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in watertight electrical equipment
• Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines. Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests
• Maximizes production, via machine uptime, in a safe manner and meets all customer specifications

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Required: GED or High School Diploma
• Preferred: Associates Degree or greater
• Required: Minimum of 2 years of mechanical experience
• Required: Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience
• Preferred: Exposure to PLC technology
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office applications
• The physical ability to lift and carry at least 50-100 lb. net bags, boxes and/or pallets for short distances 

IF CONVERTED TO A FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE:

$35 to $40 per hour depending on experience
