#824 - Arcade & IT Technician - Seeking Transitioning Service Member (SkillBridge Program)

 

We are seeking a transitioning service member to join our experienced team as an Arcade/IT Technician.

The qualified Arcade/IT Technicians should have with experience working with electrical equipment and computers to help maintain our extensive arcade of over 100 games, state of the art virtual reality games, 4D Movie Theater, Laser tag arena and computers.      

Our client is an award winning family owned FEC in East Hanover, NJ with 100,000 sq. ft. of rides and state of the art games. We have been offering the finest in family entertainment for over 27 years.

The Arcade Technician is a Full-Time position. Benefits included:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Be able to troubleshoot and maintain computer networks, printers, routers, switches, access points, etc.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot 3rd party applications software (ie Centeredge, Embed, etc)
  • Install windows updates (Workstations, servers)
  • Repair, troubleshoot, software or hardware issues.
  • Scan, clean, remove malware, spam on workstations.
  • Windows OS troubleshooting (fix pop-up errors, OS related issues)
  • Handles daily troubleshooting of arcade games and ensures proper repairs are completed to fix any issues.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all gaming computers electrical components.
  • Maintain functionality of all pusher arcade games including motors, hoppers, and lifts.
  • Provide guest service and assist guests throughout the facility
  • Assists in daily maintenance and organization of tech room and storage areas
  • Test that all games are functioning per manufacturer’s instructions including embed card readers.
  • Test that all bill acceptors on kiosk, games, and vending machines are in working order weekly.
  • Keep workstation organized and parts inventory up to date.
  • Communicate with management regarding part inventory that aligns with monthly budgets.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on all game motors and sensors on a provided schedule.
  • Assist management with installation of new arcade games and machines
  • Efficiently and safely, perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly game maintenance as directed by management.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly inspection of XD Dark Ride movie theater components.
  • Perform daily inspection of lasertron arena, vest, TVs and computer system.
  • Perform daily inspections of our virtual reality rides
  • Keep a professional relationship with all companies that we work with
 

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1-3 years’ experience working with electrical equipment and computers.
  • Knowledgeable with Windows OS (Window 7,10,11, etc)
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft 365 or Office 365 exchange/email servers
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to bend, lift up to 50lbs, and stand for at least 8 hours
  • Working knowledge of the safe handling and operation of tools equipment and materials used in electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Computer and typing skills.
  • Communication – Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility – Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and maintain a flexible work schedule to meet various demands for multiple concurrent projects; willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
