WHAT YOU'LL DO:
You are an important member of the Extrusion Production Team, taking care of all tasks related to operating extruders necessary to provide our customers with quality products and excellence in service.
 
As part of this team, together with the material handler and production support, your dedication enables us to be a market leader offering best-in-class products for window, door, and outdoor living products who together, with its partners, shape living spaces that are environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, comfortable, and safe.
  • Operates assigned extruders to produce profiles that meet quality standards, including the proper set-up and start-up of production.
  • Responsible for making process adjustments as required to establish running and quality specifications.
  • Responsible for entering dimensional and attribute checks into the internal BDE database throughout the shift at the required intervals.
  • Prepares samples for the Quality Department.
  • Responsible for notifying the Lead Tech or Supervisor of the number of scrap pieces during the shift for each profile.
  • Responsible for properly informing the Lead Tech or Supervisor of any problems that may affect profile quality, safety, or extruder operation throughout the entire shift.
  • Responsible for properly documenting and displaying all processing parameters and verifying that nothing has changed on all production lines, such as melt pressure, temperature, actual vent, barrel & die zones.
  • Responsible for the overall housekeeping of the assigned lines while on shift to ensure the safety of you and your co-workers.
  • Assists the Lead Tech, Supervisor, and/or Superintendent throughout the shift.
  • Supports Production Support and Material Handler as needed
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to move objects up to 50 pounds
 
Other Information:
 
Organizational Relationship: Reports directly to the shift supervisor.
 
Pay: As listed above w/pay increases at each level advancement through level 3.
