#742 - Military-Focused Job Recruiter - Seeking Transitioning Service Member (Skillbridge Program)

We are seeking a highly motivated transitioning Service Member to work as a Job Recruiter focusing on placing military veterans.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between military veterans and rewarding civilian careers.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of military veterans and transitioning service members by guiding them toward fulfilling and financially rewarding civilian careers.

Your work will contribute to the overall success of our organization while simultaneously supporting those who have served our country.

Witnessing the positive transformation of veterans as they find meaningful employment is not just professionally gratifying but also personally fulfilling, knowing that you play a pivotal role in their transition to civilian life.

You can work remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Expect a 40-hour/week schedule (you can determine the hours you work).

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy to attract, engage, and retain military veterans for various career opportunities.

  2. Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with military organizations, veteran service groups, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance outreach efforts and build a network of potential candidates.

  3. Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various channels to identify and source qualified military veterans, ensuring a diverse pool of candidates for different industries and roles.

  4. Career Counseling: Provide personalized career guidance and support to transitioning service members, helping them identify suitable career paths based on their skills, experiences, and aspirations.
  5. Collaboration with Employers: Work closely with hiring managers and employers to understand their workforce needs, and facilitate the placement of military veterans into roles that align with their qualifications.

  6. Resource Development: Create and maintain a repository of resources, including resume-building tools, interview preparation guides, and other materials to assist veterans in their job search.

  7. Advocacy and Awareness: Raise awareness about the benefits of hiring military veterans, advocating for their unique skills and experiences within the corporate world.

  8. Performance Tracking: Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of recruiting initiatives and continuously optimize strategies for better outcomes.

  • Strong desire to help your military brothers and sisters with their careers.

  • In-depth understanding of military culture, skills translation, and the challenges faced by veterans in transitioning to civilian careers.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills....you'll spend much of your day on Zoom and the phone.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Serious about your career...even though this is an amazing career path, it's not easy and you will be required to work hard.
 

Compensation After SkillBridge

If you enjoy your SkillBridge internship and would like to make recruiting an initial job when you're a Veteran, you will have an opportunity to transition to a full-time employee. First-year Recruiting Managers have a financial goal of earning $100,000.
