About the role:

  • Setting up laptops, troubleshooting problems
  • Phone support, taking calls may log tickets
  • Printer support
  • Updates and manage laptops and all software – exchange knowledge, outlook, office, and other PC tools are good to have
  • Anti-virus skills
  • May do some wiring etc.. will most likely travel to the local warehouse and distribution center if needed … all in the Akron area
  • Solid understanding of PCs, Laptops, etc .. understanding of networks is good too

 

Qualifications:

  • Six months to a year in supporting end users and executives
  • Good communication skills
  • Desire to learn and Team player
  • Able to work independently of the team though – take direction
  • Good documentation skills

 

To be a successful help desk technician, you should have knowledge of all aspects of computer systems configuration, setup, and maintenance. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
