#308 - IT Project Manager - Professional Baseball Team - Seeking Transitioning Service Member (SkillBridge Program)

 
 
Your role as the IT Project Manager at the Texas Rangers Stadium (Arlington, TX/on-site) is to plan, execute, and finalize projects.
 
This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The IT Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Information Technology.
  • Collaborates with the Director of IT Operations & Applications and the Director of IT Infrastructure. 
  • Defines project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals. 
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor or Associate degree: Business Admin, IT or similar and/or 2-3 years equivalent work experience.
  • A Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired but not a show stopper.
  • 2+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software.
  • Familiar with programming languages.
  • Database and operating systems experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Technically competent.
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
  • Ability to defuse tension among project team, should it arise.
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
