Marketing & Communications Manager
The Good Food Institute (GFI) is at the forefront of the movement to use foodtech and alternative proteins to solve some of the world’s biggest problems, from climate change and food security to antibiotic resistance and the exploitation of billions of animals annually.
How You Will Make a Difference: In this role, you will directly influence the future of food by building marketing and communications strategies that will harness the startups, industry, academic and governmental sectors, and ensure the Israeli alternative protein ecosystem has a significant and compelling presence in local and international media platforms, events and conferences.
The Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing holistic marketing strategies (based on social media, PR, newsletters, events, conferences and more).
- Building GFI Israel’s messaging, talking points and narratives, writing press releases, and conducting ongoing media outreach.
- Managing dedicated digital platforms, including Linkedin, Facebook, GFI Israel’s website, newsletter and WhatsApp groups, creating and curating engaging content.
- Planning and executing GFI Israel’s events from outreach, awareness and enrollment through implementation.
- Reporting results based on events, webinars, Facebook, WhatsApp and general surveys to inform opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with local and global GFI employees on messaging and engagement.
The Marketing & Communications Manager must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least two years of directly relevant experience, preferably in marketing and communications management.
- Exceptional writing skills in both English and Hebrew to create press releases, social media content, newsletters and other written materials.
- Event coordination and project management skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with peers, partners and contacts in person and over social media.
- Strong analytical, strategic and independent problem-solving skills.
- Located in Israel (and able to get to the Tel Aviv office 2-3 times a week).
- Strong support for GFI’s mission and ability to professionally advocate for GFI’s positions. Demonstrated past interest in public health, environmentalism, animal protection, or hunger relief.
Terms of Employment: Full-time position
Location: remote, 2-3 meetings a week in Tel Aviv
