The Position:
Guided by Loop Energy’s corporate values and reporting to the Senior Manager HR, the HR Coordinator works within the Human Resources team on activities that support the employee experience and life cycle at Loop Energy, with particular focus on administrative activities and people operations.
Responsibilities:
Administer some HRIS activities and reporting such as vacation, sick days, personal time off and other reports as needed
Assist with in-house recruitment, scheduling candidates, initial screenings
Deliver onboarding and orientation activities to newly hired employees
Preparation of employee letters such as employment verification, an invitation or visa letters, annual compensation, role change letters, announcements, and any HR related communication
Maintenance of employees and contractor personnel files, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, maintaining both hard and digital copies of employees’ records, filing of paperwork, scanning of confidential documents such as salaries raises, benefits, employment agreements
Coordination and administration of benefit plans - such as Extended Health & Dental, Health Spending Account, Group Life Insurance, RRSPs, and Long Term Disability processing enrollment
Update spreadsheets containing employee benefits information, eligibility, overage, spousal, and dependent information are properly processed
Advising and administering employee policies, procedures, employee handbook, and assist in communicating the policies and procedures across the organization
Establish and document HR processes to ensure proper monitoring and compliance is in place - procedures manuals, checklists, HR forms, and templates
Management of offboarding processes including asset return and exit interviews, follow off-boarding/termination procedures and checklists to ensure terminations, resignations, and leaves
Serve as a liaison for employee engagement activities
Ad hoc HR duties as required
