The Position:
The Integration and Technical Documentation Specialist will act as a technical customer interface and support vehicle integration, training and after-sales. They will also create and revise Loop’s internal and end user documents such as operator manuals, work instructions, technical safety bulletins and internal work processes.
Each day will be different, yet key responsibilities and expectations include:
Support the integration of Loop’s fuel cell product line to customer applications
Lead customer training of fuel cell system-specific work instructions and technical procedures
Lead technical training of Loop Field Service representatives
Responsible for developing standardized comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience and sets our users up for success
Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials relating to the integration, maintenance and after-sales support of Loop’s product range
Evaluate current content and look for areas of improvement
Validate new work instructions & procedures with hands-on evaluation and in-field trials using Loop’s Customer Service team
What we are looking for:
Working knowledge of the specification, selection & integration of various EV-specific electrical devices, including high voltage batteries, DC/DC converters, HV contactor operation and HV electrical wiring practices
Demonstrated experience as an effective technical writer of manuals, work instructions and procedures
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences
Superior written and verbal English communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, and help refine content and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
Post-secondary diploma in technical field
Degree in Engineering an asset but not required
