The Position:

We are seeking a high performing System Engineer to play a key role in supporting the sales process and post-sale customer management as Loop Energy expands across Europe.  This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in an early-stages of our growth.  Your work will be highly valued, have a significant impact on our customers, our company and the environment. 

Each day will be different, yet key responsibilities will be:

  • Proactive support of sales and business development account managers by:
  • 1 - participating in meetings with existing and potential customers, 
  • 2 - explaining product features and determining which products meet the needs of each individual customer
  • 3 - leading the technical stages of the sales: following up with customers and coordinating the internal resources to provide sales support
  • Working with the customer to evaluate and model various options for fuel cell system components placement within the available integration space envelope
  • Prepare proposals, write up sales quotations and prepare sales documentation packages
  • Interfacing directly with eco-system partners such as cooling, power electronics and hydrogen fuel system providers, channels partners to establish deep understanding of complete system functionality required to support customers throughout the sales and post sales engagement process
  • Working closely with sales account managers during the post-sales product integration to provide technical support, respond to questions, and help identify and resolve technical issues either directly or by way of engaging engineering team’s resources as may be required
  • Working closely with sales account managers to address any technical issues arising during product operation
  • Support customers in establishing product service and maintenance programs in accordance with Loop’s recommendations
  • Interface closely with the engineering and product development teams to establish and maintain detailed understanding of product features, operating and integration requirements
  • Regularly communicate customer feedback to the product and engineering teams thus informing new product development and product improvement activities
  • Work closely with the marketing team in preparing whitepapers, product brochures, data sheets and other marketing collateral as may be required
  • Attend trade shows, webinars, conferences, and seminars to stay up to date on industry product as well as auxiliary system developments, highlight marketing activities that can create or facilitate sales

What we are looking for: (required)

  • Practical experience with integration of PEM hydrogen fuel cells with a battery electric vehicle powertrain
  • Experience with Electronic control systems
  • A technical background
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Excel
  • Willingness and ability to continuously learn about system components / solutions becoming available from 3rd party partners as well as in-house
  • An excellent customer-focused attitude
  • Fluency in English
  • Capable of travel  - approximately 20-25% - and the ability to work flexible hours (some early mornings or late evenings) to support sales teams and customers in different time zones

  • Experience with CanBus and ModBus data communication protocols
