CACI is seeking a Software Engineer for its program in San Antonio, TX. If you are looking to be a part of a growing organization, CACI would like to speak with you. -Participate in aviation test development efforts consisting of multimember development teams -Accountable for ensuring individual work products are completed on cost and on schedule -Participate in document and code peer reviews to ensure conformance, correctness, and quality of all delivered products -Participate in Test Program Set (TPS) hardware design activities required to interface the unit under test (UUT) to the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) -Integrate and troubleshoot TPS software and hardware -Develop TPS requirements, design and test documents -Work as a part of an integrated product team to develop and deliver software as a part of a system solution -Report to the engineering leads development efforts and status -Interface with customers regarding developmental tasks (milestone events - PDR, CDR, Acceptance, etc.)

 

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, operating, and maintaining software, firmware components, or computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with solutions or products that also encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines. These solutions or products may require hardware, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge in order to design, develop, and support software components embedded within them.

  • Applies the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system life cycle to support the generation of multi-disciplinary solutions and products such as simulations of engineering and scientific problems, avionics, command and control, tactical displays medical devices, sensors, and electro-mechanical systems. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

  • Participate in Test Program Set (TPS) and other aviation test developers through product life cycle management (concept to delivery) of test systems within cost, scope, and schedule.

  • Develop software packages for Test Program Sets (TPSs) including source code, distributable code, and full documentation packages for developed code.

  • Integrate software with hardware and troubleshoot both during the developmental integration phase. Interface with customers regarding developmental efforts.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering.

  • 2 years related work experience.

  • Strong electrical engineering understanding (analog and digital circuit component knowledge).

  • Formal training in software development using ANSI-C or equivalent, NI product software (TestStand, CVI, LabVIEW, etc.).

  • Experience using and programming various T&M instrumentation.

  • Ability to analyze test requirements documents and legacy software for the purpose of providing estimating level of effort to complete.

  • Design and development in a risk averse environment.

  • Experience with design reviews and justifying designs/development.


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • An active Secret clearance.

  • Demonstrated expertise with digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, closed loop servo systems, and AC and DC power supplies.

  • Development using NI PXI instrumentation (DMM, Scope, Relays, Matrix, DAQ, DC modules, etc.).

  • Training in Hardware design using components in the 0-20Mhz frequency span. (Discrete ICs, electromechanical devices such as synchros & amplifiers, 1553, RS-232, and ARINC 422 communication protocols).

  • Development of ATE and TPS for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems -Prior test capability development for DoD or similar agency.

  • Familiarity with TestStand -Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards -Familiarity with applicable standards (MIL-PRF 28800 and MIL-PRF 32070).
