GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Experience/knowledge with or interest in developing skills in the following areas:

*Experience in C/C++, Python, Java, Windows, Android, iOS, and/or other high-order language software development

*Intermediate knowledge of software development tools: Windows: Visual Studio, Linux gdb, gcc, vi, etc., Android: Android Studio & SDK, iOS: xcode, swift

*Experience with virtual applications and environments (VMWare, VirtualBox, QEMU, etc.)

*Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP, HTTP, UDP, IP, etc.)

*Experience working in an Agile development/DevOps environment.

*Experience using a DevOps platform (Gitlab, Jira, and Confluence)

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

*Assisting with the development of cyber operations applications.

*Working with a team of developers to design, develop, test, and document software applications primarily in a Linux/Unix environment.

*Translating customer requirements into software design documents and other documentation to support successful operational use.

Principal Software EngineerMS/PhD (MA) in one of the accepted degrees

 

12 yrs directly related experience with MS/MA degree

10 yrs with PhD degree

At least 6 yrs progressive responsibility in technical leadership

15 yrs of direct related experienceSenior Software EngineerMS (MA)/PhD in in one of the accepted degrees

 

7 yrs directly related experience with MS (MA)

5 yrs directly related experience with PhD

At least 3 yrs progressive responsibility in technical leadership
