With a quick setup and intuitive interface, tymeshift helps customer support teams transparently manage their workforce to make agents more efficient and managers more engaged. tymeshift has offices in the United States, Serbia, and Portugal.

What are they looking for:

  • Develop & execute an Engineering strategy and plan, supporting tymeshift's growth and scaling objectives alongside the Technical Lead;
  • Recruit, onboard and develop Software Engineering professionals;
  • Grow and mature the team so that they can undertake, support & deliver end-to-end products and features;
  • Work across the engineering department and other stakeholders to align capacity, priorities and outputs with the business objectives;
  • Lead the adoption of Agile concepts;
  • Develop and implement relevant metrics, dashboards and processes for maximum output of the engineering team;
  • Build a tighter relationship between Engineering and other tymeshift departments (with special emphasis with Product and Support teams);
  • Be an engineering leader that knows how to get the best from the team, while inspiring them every single day;
  • Ensure strategic planning and introduce planning and processes to meet company goals;
  • You will participate in the company's strategy and governance by reporting your opinions and decisions to the Chief Technology Officer.


Required:

  • 5+ years in software engineering, 2+ years in the management of a SaaS business;
  • Demonstrate a track record of managing a team including hiring, onboarding, and professional development;
  • Excel at planning, creating large teams and overseeing execution to meet commitments and deliver with predictability;
  • Experience implementing tools, processes, internal instrumentation, methodologies and resolving blockages;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas to stakeholders;
  • Comfortable managing teams and projects with tight deadlines and short release cycles;
  • Track record of managing a high reliability environment with a complete automated testing suite for continuous delivery;
  • Passionate about developing, coaching and mentoring your team;
  • Outstanding management skills with a proven track record of effectively managing and developing a diverse team of software engineers;
  • An in depth understanding of Agile methodology and how to apply these to cross functional teams;
  • Natural problem solver who enjoys identifying ways to make your team and customer's lives better;
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed time frames;
  • Thoughtful decision making skills with a knack for identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives;
  • Ability to lead the team to meet deliverables and drive work to completion within specified timelines;
  • Work with colleagues & senior leaders to deliver ideas and solutions to many audiences including your team and C-Staff;
  • Proven experience with event-driven systems and experience building sophisticated real time and big data solutions for high throughput data is a plus;
