SingleStore is recruiting a Software Engineer (Remote)  


The SQL-based platform where all data is "SingleStore" 

About:  SingleStore is a converged data platform for transactions and analytics, which organizations can use to process and analyze their most important time-critical application workloads. Companies around the world can use SingleStore to gain faster insights, eliminate complexity, and substantially lower the costs related to their data strategies, handling structured, unstructured and semi-structured data. And guess what? Its available in cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments!

Founded in 2011 and headquarted in Sao Francisco, SingleStore employs over 200 people across its offices, being present today at Portland, Sillicon Valley, London, Ukraine and Portugal.

Formerly MemSQL, the company faced last year a name change in order to describe the organisation value proposition.  

They were able to close last year with a "modest" 80 million funding, in order to better focus on their Product. SingleStore wants to expand their team in Portugal while nurturing some great clients including Sony, Uber, Verizon and Intel.

They are now looking for their next team member, that can participate in the development of next stages of their platform while having an impact in Product Roadmap.


What are they looking for:

  • Someone who can develop a world-class control plane responsible for providing an innovative operational analytics solution in the cloud;
  • Someone to be part of the team that ships the world's first bottomless operational database;
  • An enthusiast that is able to look beyond a keyboard in order to improve technical solutions, and influence product road-map;
  • A pragmatic mindset , that is able to thread the lines between shipping and perfection; 
  • Someone who enjoys to work with cross-functional teams;


  • 4+ years of technical experience as a software engineer;
  • Curious to understand how Typescript and React work well together;
  • 2 years of experience working on a SaaS product;
  • An understanding of code quality and test and how it affects the Product Life Cycle;
  • Passion about building high-quality products that are robust and easy to maintain in a fast-paced environment;
  • Fluency in English.
