About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Associate Director of Compliance with expertise in the crypto industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements within the crypto space and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs.

What you will do:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive compliance programs and policies tailored to the unique regulatory landscape of the crypto industry.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, emerging trends, and best practices in the crypto space to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and compliance audits to identify areas of improvement and mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, operations, and other teams to ensure alignment and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and investigate suspicious activities, potential fraud, and compliance violations, taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and disclosures in a timely and accurate manner.
What you should have :
  • 9+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with a focus on the crypto industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, including but not limited to AML/KYC, sanctions, securities regulations, and data privacy laws.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or CRCM are preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.
