Job Requirements:

As a Diagnostics QA Engineer you will participate in the definition and implementation of the initial

framework, and Diagnostics tests created from scratch. This QA Diagnostics Engineer will contribute in

all phases of the product test processes, review for testability and diagnosability, bring up a new ASIC,

and manufacture Diagnostics creation. In this position, you will:

  • Design, develop, and execute manufacturing tests
  • Work with the ASIC, SW, FW, QA, and hardware teams to ensure highest quality manufacturing Diagnostics being delivered to manufacturing
  • Work with the manufacturing teams to fit the Diagnostics within the manufacturing processes
  • Analyze manufacturing collected data, identify non-conformance trends, generate concise executive summaries, and recommend design improvements
  • Contribute to overall test plan oversight, including definition of test coverage requirements, test plan generation, approval, execution, and archival of results
  • Deploy diagnostic regression package to contract manufacturer, work with factory test engineers to stabilize production issues
  • As appropriate, develop software tests at module level in Python, and TCL 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Diagnostics development in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to programmatically test the product using low level programming, measure test coverage, develop the best automation, drive testability and diagnosability into the product
  • Experience with open source tools
  • Familiar with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs
  • Development experience and familiarity with embedded systems, x86 and embedded processor chipsets, and programmable devices
  • Broad knowledge of Linux based tools and common scripting languages, ideally including Python, TCL, and Bash
  • Familiar with manufacturing test processes and support for manufacturing test development and factory debug requirements
  • Some general understanding of failure mode analysis, and standard statistical techniques
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Passionate for excellence with can do attitude, while working toward team goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE, or equivalent qualifications
